Privacy

What we collect, why, how long we keep it, and how to have it deleted.

We only ask for what we need, we never sell it, and we'll tell you exactly why we ask.

What we collect, and why

If you register your interest, we store the following and nothing else.

Your email address	Required. It is how we send you the six-digit code that confirms the address is yours, and how we tell you when Worth Entering opens.
A name, if you give one	Optional. It is only used to address you. Leave it blank and we'll give you a friendly username instead.
Your state, if you give one	Optional. It is used for one thing: showing you competitions you are actually eligible to enter, because many Australian competitions are limited to particular states.
The date you registered, and that you came from this website	So we know how long we have held your details, and can tell you.

What we deliberately do not collect

• Your IP address.
• Your browser, device or operating system.
• The page or advert you arrived from.
• Any cookie, pixel, tracking identifier or advertising profile.
• Anything at all about what you do on this website.

There is no analytics on this website and no third-party script of any kind. Nothing on these pages reports your visit to anyone.

The confirmation code

We send a six-digit code that you type in yourself. We never send a link to click — a link in an email is the thing every scam relies on, and we would rather not teach you to trust one from us.

We do not store the code. We store a one-way scrambled version of it, which lets us check the code you type is right but cannot be turned back into the code by us or by anybody else. Once you have confirmed, even that is erased.

Who else sees it

Nobody. We do not sell, rent, share or trade your details, and we do not pass them to the brands or promoters whose competitions we list. Registering with Worth Entering does not enter you into anything and does not tell any promoter who you are.

Your details sit in a database that no public visitor can read, write to or delete from. The only thing that can touch them is the registration and confirmation process itself.

How long we keep it

• If you never confirm your address, we delete the record within 30 days.
• If you confirm, we keep it until you ask us to delete it, or until Worth Entering closes, whichever comes first.
• Every email we send you will include a way to be removed.

How to have your details deleted

Email privacy@worthentering.com from the address you registered with, and ask. You do not have to give a reason and you will not be asked for one. We will delete the record and confirm that we have done so.

You can also ask us for a copy of everything we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, at the same address.

Changes to this page

If we ever collect something new, this page changes before we collect it, not afterwards.
